Offline-capable crew task lists
Offline Shared Task List App for Field Teams
A useful crew task list cannot stop working when a job takes the team into a basement, rural property, metal building, or weak-service area.
Turnboards stores changes locally while the app is offline. Crew members can add and update work without waiting on a signal, and queued changes sync after the app reconnects.

Keep Capturing Work When the Signal Drops
Write down the next action while standing where the work is happening. The app does not need to wait for a network response before saving the change locally.
- Add a work item from the job site, shop, field, or route.
- Update a task from Backlog to Active or Complete.
- Keep using the current board during a temporary outage.
- Let queued changes sync after connectivity returns.
Give the Crew One Simple Mobile Work List
Boards keep jobs, properties, routes, or projects separate. Assignments help each person focus on their work without turning the list into a full dispatch or project-management system.
- Create one board for the job or work area.
- Assign boards and individual tasks to signed-in team members.
- Keep measurements, access details, and handoff notes with the task.
- Use due dates only for real commitments.

Use Three Statuses Instead of Configuring a Workflow
Backlog holds work that is waiting or planned, Active shows what can move now, and Complete keeps finished items out of the way. The same small workflow works online and during temporary connection loss.
- Backlog for future, waiting, or blocked work.
- Active for the tasks the crew can do now.
- Complete for work that has been finished.
- Notes for the context needed at the next handoff.

A concrete starting point
Example board: Remote property work
Use the wording your team already understands. A useful first board can be this small:
- Backlog — confirm replacement pump model
- Active — inspect north fence line
- Active — record generator hours
- Complete — unload repair materials
Offline updates do not turn Turnboards into a field-service platform
Turnboards does not provide GPS tracking, route optimization, employee time clocks, photo-proof requirements, dispatch, inspections, or emergency communication. Offline changes are queued locally and sync after connectivity returns.
