Personal Project Planning Template
Use this template for a hobby build, restoration, creative project, home improvement, garden plan, or other finite personal outcome. It works on paper without Turnboards; copy the useful actions into a board only when a mobile list would help.

What you will get
- Define what finished means
- Capture materials, resources, and open questions
- Separate the full Backlog from the next three actions
- Record the current blocker and restart point

Do not plan details you cannot know yet
Capture enough structure to begin. Later steps can remain broad in the Backlog until earlier work reveals the right approach. The next three actions should be specific because they are the only ones expected to move now.
Keep project records in the right place
Turnboards can hold task notes, but it is not a document archive, inventory, budget, or design system. Keep drawings, receipts, source files, detailed research, and financial records in appropriate tools, then put only the needed reference in the task note.
Copy the worksheet into a Turnboards board
Use the project name as the board name. Add possible work to Backlog, move the next three actions into Active, and use notes for the context needed during the next session. Complete each step as the project moves forward.
What Turnboards does—and does not do
Turnboards is a fast shared work list with boards, assignments, notes, due dates, offline updates, and Backlog, Active, and Complete statuses. It does not provide automated recurring checklists, photo-proof reports, invoicing, employee scheduling, GPS tracking, or formal inspection records.
