Record enough context to reopen the project
The useful note is often not a percentage complete. Record what happened, which part is missing, what you learned, and the first action for the next session.
Keep experiments separate from commitments
Backlog can hold possible designs, techniques, and future improvements. Active should contain only what you are prepared to try or build next.
- Capture the part or material
- Record failed approaches
- Name the current question
- Choose a small next action
Move the live list to Turnboards only when it helps
Paper works well beside a bench or desk. A board helps when the project travels, the list changes often, or another person needs to see and update the next work.
What Turnboards does—and does not do
Turnboards is a fast shared work list with boards, assignments, notes, due dates, offline updates, and Backlog, Active, and Complete statuses. It does not provide automated recurring checklists, photo-proof reports, invoicing, employee scheduling, GPS tracking, or formal inspection records.
