Free building and unit import sheet
Apartment Unit-Turn Tracker and Import CSV Template
Use this CSV to prepare the building and unit structure for a property-turn workspace. The download works as a simple spreadsheet on its own and maps directly into Turnboards when you are ready to import it.
No account needed. Opens in Excel, Numbers, or Google Sheets.
What you will get
- No account required to download
- Stable building and unit IDs support safe re-imports
- Optional due date, priority, and assignee columns
- Import creates structure, never automatic task checklists

What's inside the CSV
The preview explains each supported import column before you download.
Required columns
- building_name — the property or building label
- unit_number — the unit label workers recognize
Recommended stable IDs
- building_id — a durable identifier from your source system
- unit_id — a durable unit identifier that does not change with display labels
Optional planning fields
- due_date — ISO date such as 2026-09-01
- priority — your agreed priority label
- assignee_email — an existing organization member
Example mapping
- Maple Court becomes a building board
- Unit 1A becomes a unit group
- The first walkthrough task starts the active turn
Keep the header names intact
Replace the two sample rows with your data. Use UTF-8 CSV, keep one unit per row, and retain stable IDs when re-importing so a renamed building or unit can still match safely.
Preview before anything changes
The web import wizard maps headers and classifies each row as create, update, unchanged, or error. Ambiguous records require correction rather than silently merging.
Walk the units after import
Importing creates building boards and unit groups only. Open each unit during the walkthrough and use the quick composer to capture the actual repairs, cleaning, and trade work found there.
What Turnboards does—and does not do
The CSV is an operational import template, not a rent roll, accounting export, inspection record, resident file, or automatic make-ready checklist. Do not place sensitive resident information in it.
Put the next job on one clear board
Try Turnboards free. Create a board, add three real work items, and invite the person who needs the list next.
