Apartment Unit-Turn Checklist App for Small Maintenance Crews
Turnboards gives a small maintenance crew one live task list per vacant unit. It is for assignments, notes, due dates, and simple status—not photo inspections, tenant portals, cost accounting, or formal owner reports.

What you will get
- Create one board per vacant unit
- Assign repairs, paint, cleaning, and final checks
- Keep access notes and material details with the task
- See waiting, active, and completed work from the phone
Create the unit board during the first walkthrough
Name the board with the property and unit. Add each observable repair or preparation step as its own work item. Keep room, model number, paint color, or access context in notes so the next person does not have to call the office.
- Trash-out and safety
- Walls, doors, and hardware
- Plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
- Flooring, appliances, cleaning, and final check
Separate blocked work from work the crew can do
Keep vendor-dependent, approval-dependent, or material-dependent items in Backlog. Move only ready work into Active and assign the next owner. This prevents a long unit checklist from hiding the few tasks that are actually holding up move-in.
Know when a specialized turn platform is a better fit
Choose a purpose-built inspection or turn system when you need required photos, condition reports, cost controls, vendor portals, or portfolio dashboards. Choose Turnboards when the immediate problem is replacing scattered texts and paper with one shared work list.
What Turnboards does—and does not do
Turnboards is a fast shared work list with boards, assignments, notes, due dates, offline updates, and Backlog, Active, and Complete statuses. It does not provide automated recurring checklists, photo-proof reports, invoicing, employee scheduling, GPS tracking, or formal inspection records.
